XTCC appoints carbon market and financial technology expert Kevin Iwanaga to advisory role

London, UK - [May 24, 2024]: XTCC, the pioneer in exchange-listed, high-integrity carbon credit investment assets, is pleased to announce that sustainability and carbon markets expert Kevin Iwanaga has joined as an Advisor. Kevin’s career spans more than three decades in senior roles at major financial firms including Goldman Sachs, UBS and Citi, and more recently in climate-focused leadership roles including President, Middle East and Africa, of the Air Carbon Exchange. A co-founder of the UAE Carbon Alliance and currently CEO of IHC Esyasoft Climate Technologies, Kevin brings a wealth of experience and unmatched knowledge of carbon markets and trading to the XTCC table.

Throughout his career, Kevin has been at the forefront of the development of large scale trading ecosystems for different asset classes. He has latterly focused his expertise on scaling the rapidly growing carbon market and associated capital flows critical to funding climate projects that reduce, remove and avoid carbon emissions. At ACX (AirCarbon Exchange) Kevin led the effort to establish the carbon exchange and platform in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the first regulated carbon exchange and clearing house. This initiative is a cornerstone of the fast developing green economy in the UAE and significant investments in associated financial technologies.

Scott Levy, XTCC founder, said: “We are privileged to have the benefit of Kevin’s direct experience in carbon market investment and technology innovation, and his incredible insights not only in the field of climate change and carbon markets, but also in financial trading and compliance. We look forward to his guidance as we continue to “lead with integrity” in the drive for sustainable change in financial markets.”
